KILIMANJARO FAM TRIP - 21st – 24th October, 2019 (4 Days/3 Nights)

4 Days/ 3 Nights The area lying between Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru is rich in wildlife and cultural heritage of local tribes that together has formed unique and beautiful scenery that is a must visit fo travelers visiting Africa for grassroots’ experience. The tour will offer opportunities for learning various routes for trekking Mount Kilimanjaro on a Helicopter scenic flight as well as inspecting various accommodation facilities available around the Mountain

ACTIVITIES

21.10.2019

DAY 1; / Monday

·         Leave your Dar es Salaam Hotel and departure to Kilimanjaro by flight (50 minutes)

·         After arrival to Kilimanajro, transfer to West Kilimanajro to Osigilai lodge. At the arrival you will be warmly welcomed by our friendly Maasai staff as they greet you with traditional Maasai dance and song.

·         There will be served a traditional Maasai welcome drink before you will be guided to your private guesthouse built as traditional Maasai huts.               You will embark on various Maasai cultural activities around the lodge and community living in the area

·         Lunch will be served and then proceed with programe until evening hours where you will spend your glorious time to relax by the pool and attend some of the daily Maasai activities at the lodge.

DAY 2: /Tuesday

 

·         After breakfast you will take a nature walk with a Maasai guide in the surroundings area of the lodge. Your guide will share all insights of how the Maasai people live, what they eat, how they survive in nature and make use of natural herbs for both food and medicine. Nature walk will last for 2 – 4 hours

 

·         You will see the famous rock climbing trees, and pass a Maasai cave that has it own tradition and history. There is a small lake close to the lodge where the wild animals often will come to drink water in the early morning.

 

·         On our walking safaris apart from watching wildlife and learning about Maasai medicine as well as livestock keeping you will see the stunning view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and the endless Maasai steppe. Before retiring to the lodge in the evening for activities and dinner

23.10.2019

DAY 3: /Wednesday

 

·         After breakfast, drive to Moshi for Kilimanjaro helicopter scenic flight

·         Visit Kiliman Cultural Tourism for Coffee tour and camping. Get to experience and learn about this award winning project run and managed by the local farmers

·         Local Mamas will serve African traditional food on buffet basis mostly dominated by the Chagga tribe

·         After village walk in scenic and green slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro retire back to local bars to enjoy local beer with the elders of the area. The Kahawa Shambani Campsite offer magnificent views of the Kilimanjaro peak and an ideal place to relax away from the crowd

·         You will spend your night at the campsite and

·         Dinner and evening programmes at the campsite

24.10.2019

DAY 4: /Thursday

 

·         After breakfast, depending on your departure time visit the waterfalls or drive directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your international flights

Transport and accommodation in Kilimanjaro 21th-24th Oct. 2019

 

Important note:

This tour shall end in Kilimanjaro at the Kilimanajro International Airport hence it is advised that your international departure transport/flight be through Kilimanajro on 24th October 2019.

 

For those who may wish to spend more days in Tanzania can do so at their expense as TTB hospitality ends on 24th October 2019
