The area lying between Mount Kilimanjaro and Eastern Arc Mountains is rich in wildlife and cultural heritage of local tribes that together have formed unique and beautiful scenery that is a must not miss visit for travelers visiting Africa for grassroots’ experience. Set below the verdant slopes of the spectacular Usambara and Pare Eastern Arc Mountain ranges and overseen by iconic snowcapped peak of Kilimanjaro, Mkomazi is a virgin breath taking beauty exhibiting unique natural treasures and immense sense of space. Further, still the Park is vital refuge for two highly endangered species, the charismatic Black Rhinos and sociable Wild dogs. The tour will offer opportunities for learning various routes for trekking Mount Kilimanjaro as well as inspecting various accommodation facilities available around Mount Kilimanjaro, Moshi town and Mkomazi National Park.




DAY 1: Monday

  • Leave your Dar es Salaam Hotel and departure to Kilimanjaro by flight (50 minutes)
  • After arrival to Kilimanajro, transfer to West Kilimanajro to lodge. At the arrival you will be warmly welcomed by our friendly Maasai staff as they greet you with traditional Maasai dance and song.
  • There will be served a traditional Maasai welcome drink before you will be guided to your private guesthouse built as traditional Maasai huts.               You will embark on various Maasai cultural activities around the lodge and community living in the area
  • Lunch will be served and then proceed with programe until evening hours where you will spend your glorious time to relax by the pool and attend some of the daily Maasai activities at the lodge.

DAY 2: Tuesday


  • After breakfast you will take a nature walk with a Maasai guide in the surroundings area of the lodge. Your guide will share all insights of how the Maasai people live, what they eat, how they survive in nature and make use of natural herbs for both food and medicine. Nature walk will last for 2 – 4 hours


  • On our walking safaris apart from watching wildlife and learning about Maasai medicine as well as livestock keeping you will see the stunning view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and the endless Maasai steppe.


  • After lunch at the lodge, leave for Old Moshi for a hike to the waterfall and coffee plantation before retiring to your hotel in Moshi for dinner and overnight.


DAY 3: Wednesday


  • After breakfast, drive to Mkomazi National Park
  • Visit the park and embark on game drive. Get to learn about Black Rhino and Wild dog conservation projects. Proceed with game drive with your packed lunch
  • After the afternoon game drive, drive to Lake Chala lodge for dinner and overnight.


DAY 4: Thursday


  • After breakfast, depending on your departure time go for bird watching, swimming, canoeing and then drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your international flights

Transport and accommodation in Kilimanjaro 9th-12th Oct. 2023

Important note:

This tour shall end in Kilimanjaro at the Kilimanjaro International Airport hence it is advised that your international departure transport/flight be through Kilimanjaro on 12th October 2023.
