Ruaha national park is one of the few Tanzania’s famous wilderness area where one can have a rare experience of game viewing spiced up by the fascinating landscape. The park is rich of plants and wild animals such as Greater Kudu which can’t be found easily in other parks. The park forms untouched and unexplored ecosystem, making visitors’ safari experience- a truly African wilderness adventure. Visitors can explore the park’s beauty through Walking safaris, Hot air balloon safaris adventure, game drives, tourist activities in the Greater Ruaha River as well as cultural tourism activities in the communities surrounding the park.

While in Iringa, you will explore one of world class Stone Age Site-Isimila, Chief Mkwawa’s Fort, Iringa Boma museum, breathtaking views and rock art paints. A visit to community development projects and sampling local food and wine will be part of the programme.

DAY 1: Monday

Early breakfast at your Dar es Salaam Hotel and departure to Ruaha Np and land at Msembe Air strip.

Transport ; Airplane (2hrs)

Pick up at Msembe airport by host Southern Tanzania Tour Operators and start game drive in the Ruaha National Park with your packed lunch.

After game drive in the evening, retire to your selected lodge/tented camp for dinner and overnight

DAY 2: Tuesday

 

Early morning game drive to view active wildlife in the morning hours with your packed breakfast box. Then get out of the Park after lunch under a tree/picnic site for typical cultural tour visits to Maasai village and then proceed to Iringa town via Mkwawa Historical sites and Kalenga Museum.

Dinner & Overnight at your selected Hotel in Iringa

 

11.10.2023

DAY 3: Wednesday

 

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then leave for a tour to Old Boma built during Germany colonial times and the Isimila Stone Age Sites to learn the local culture and the history of the area. Proceed driving to Mufindi, explore the forests and enjoy your lunch amid a green mountain forest.

After lunch proceed embark on eco-tourism activities of your interest ranging from horse riding, canoeing and walking safaris

12.10.2023

DAY 4: Thursday

After breakfast, you will drive to Iringa Airport  and then fly back to Dar es Salaam to catch your international flight

Important note:

This tour shall end in Dar es Salaam hence it is advised that your international departure flight be through Julius Nyerere International Airport on 9th October 2023.

For those who may wish to spend more days in Tanzania can do so at their expense as TTB hospitality ends on 12th October 2023.
